忒修斯看见血盟然后知道血盟里是谁的血并且血盟的作用之后，他的原话：“Can I ask you what would possess you to make such a thing?”
目前的翻译基本上都是“为什么你们制造了这种东西”。
不能说错，但是翻译得……不够地道。
possess这个词本身就有被恶魔或者邪灵缠住导致精神或行动错乱什么的这种意思；再贴合HP宇宙里面：
《凤凰社》 第二十三章原文：
“I didn’t want anyone to talk to me,” said Harry, who was feeling more and more nettled.
“Well, that was a bit stupid of you,” said Ginny angrily, “seeing as you don’t know anyone but me who’s been possessed by You-Know-Who, and I can tell you how it feels.”
Harry remained quite still as the impact of these words hit him. Then he turned on the spot to face her.
“I forgot,” he said.
“Lucky you,” said Ginny coolly.
“I’m sorry,” Harry said, and he meant it. “So . . . so do you think I’m being possessed, then?”
“Well, can you remember everything you’ve been doing?” Ginny asked. “Are there big blank periods where you don’t know what you’ve been up to?”
Harry racked his brains.
“No,” he said.
“Then You-Know-Who hasn’t ever possessed you,” said Ginny simply. “When he did it to me, I couldn’t remember what I’d been doing for hours at a time. I’d find myself somewhere and not know how I got there.”
就是附身，possession来操纵别人思想和行动的黑魔法。
所以如果更贴合原语境（也更贴合忒修斯内心xxxxx的心情），他这句话有类似于“你这是被下降头了才昏了头搞这个？”的潜台词。
